March 16, 2023 - Our Hermitage staff participated in the FIRST EVER Sharon St. Patrick's Day Parade! It was a huge success and they had a lot of fun and look forward to participating next year!
MCSB Investment Dept. donation
November 30, 2022 - The MCSB Investment Services Department donated $500 to the Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County. This donation allows them to provide 1,500 meals to our neighbors facing hunger. We are committed to our continued support to this local asset!
MCSB gives to Mercer County 4-H
November 17, 2022 - MCSB donated $14,000 to the Mercer County 4-H Program at the 2022 Mercer County 4-H Livestock Sale. Hermitage 5 Year Anniversary

MCSB's Sandy Lake staff set up a table during the first night of The Great Stoneboro Fair and had some great promotional items to give away along with complimentary balloons! The second installment of the Bank's Commitment to The Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County was presented recently. Pictured below (left to right): Mark Malcolmson of MCSB, MiMi Prada and Lori Weston both from The Community Food Warehouse of Mercer Co., and Jamie Pietrantonio from MCSB. This is the bank's second pledge towards the Summer Meal Program where funds will be used to update a retired school bus that would serve hot and cold meals to low-income families during the summer months when children are not receiving meals in school.

Located on 90 acres in Sandy Lake, Edible Earth Farm is a certified organic farm that uses biodynamic farming methods and offers a Community Supported Agriculture program to its members. The Lakeview Area Public Library opened their doors at their new and improved location earlier this week on Main Street in Sandy Lake. The library plans on having a Grand Opening celebration some time in January 2019. The bank's generous donation will be used to provide further furnishings needed like new tables, comfortable seating, and carpets for the kids area.

This was the first year for MCSB to take part in the 3rd Annual Light Up the Sky at Buhl Park. The event saw a record crowd of 15,000 this year so our Hermitage Staff kept very busy! The bank provided a caricature artist, arts & crafts, a chance to win prizes, and lots of promotional goodies for the kids & adults. Our next branch announcement comes on the heels of the only bank in Harrisville shutting its doors for good which happened this month. Seeing this as a great opportunity for the town to have a true community bank, MCSB is looking forward to serving the residents and businesses of its very first Butler County branch which is slated to be open in September of this year. Word is spreading fast and two articles have already been published about our twelfth full service branch coming soon!
Annual Stoneboro Easter Egg Hunt

Even in the cold weather over 400 kids came out to enjoy a sunny afternoon of Easter egg hunting in Stoneboro Park. In its 19th year, this event has continued to grow thanks to the support of local businesses and organizations. MCSB is proud to have been a sponsor of this fun event! Beth Hovis, the event coordinator since its inception along with the help of local volunteers, provides children ages 10 and under with over 10,000 eggs filled with candy and chances to win prizes ranging from stuffed animals, bikes, baskets filled with goodies, chocolate bunnies, Pirates tickets and Splash Lagoon tickets. This year however was the first annual GREAT BED RACE and it has captured the attention of many future competitors! Stoneboro Sesquicentennial Parade

Employees of Mercer County State Bank were happy to kick off the 150th Anniversary of Stoneboro Parade with a gigantic, helium-filled birthday cake balloon. This parade was the first in the history of Mercer County to have these types of balloons! Over 86 entries were in the sesquicentennial parade. The Bank also sponsored the Friday night fireworks over Stoneboro Lake.

Mercer County State Bank was a proud sponsor of the 27th Annual Larry McCandless Memorial Golf Classic that was held by the Grove City YMCA. Because of sponsorship money raised at this event, the YMCA has been able to adapt and welcome more people into their facility when they needed it most. MCSB supports Crawford County Community Foundation

A team of employees from Mercer County State Bank participated in a spelling bee fundraiser put on by the Crawford County Community Foundation. The Foundation raises money and makes it available for teachers and/or students in grades K-12 in all of Crawford County Central School District. Through the Foundation money is available for funding programs outside of the district budget to further enrich the lives of students with extracurricular and educational opportunities that they may not have had. Over $5,000 was raised as this fun event! Just another way of being Community Minded!

Land Donated to James A. Stone Memorial Library

The bank was pleased to donate land to the James A. Stone Memorial Library in Conneautville to support their ongoing public book fairs. The library was renovated approximately five years ago and continues to remain a community treasure offering a wealth of resources along with expert and helpful librarians. James A. Stone Memorial Library
American Heart Association Heart Walk

"Team Green" of MCSB headed out to Westminster College to raise funds and awareness for the American Heart Association on Saturday September 27th along with many other area businesses and organizations. Over a dozen employees showed up for the activities and to take part in the scenic 1 mile walk around the beautiful campus. Along with the walk, each of Mercer County State Bank’s ten branches sold hearts for the entire week leading up to the walk. It was truly a team effort. Over $3,000 was raised for this great cause that MCSB supports every September annually.

Cochranton Library Donation
October 5, 2013
Mercer County State Bank donated $5,000 to the Cochranton Area Public Library Fund for an up-to-date technology center in the main reading room of the new library building. Library Board of Trustees President, Susan Armburger, said, “I think it’s wonderful that Mercer County State Bank is willing to support the Cochranton community’s effort to build a new library.” The area will be dedicated to Mercer County Sate Bank. The library is currently in the process of completing plans for the construction of the new library and hope to begin building in the spring.
